YoYoNation in the News!

The month of October was quite memorable for YoYoNation! We were honored to be featured by two publications - PC Magazine and AsianAvenue.com.

PC Magazine is the recognized leader of technology publication in the technology industry. Their authoritative reviews and in-depth comparisons of computing and Internet products reach more than 6 million readers worldwide.

With that said, Pat and I were thrilled when we were chosen as Runners Up in PC Magazine’s ‘First Annual Small-Business Awards’. This award recognizes the top small & medium businesses in the country that use technology to drive innovation and gain competitive advantage. Read about it here: PC Magazine’s First Annual Small-Business Awards

In addition to the said award, we were featured in an article on AsianAvenue.com entitled, ‘Two Young Asians Make Yo-Yo Nation‘. The blurb of the article states -

Sick of working in a cubicle? Pat and Weber, two young Asian Americans, finally got freed by creating their own company, YoyoNation.com, to spread their love for yo-yo’s. They share insights on what made them finally make the jump and how you can too.

AsianAvenue.com is a leader in online community destination for US ethnic groups of Asian and Pacific-Islander descent. AsianAvenue.com is the largest Asian-American media outlet across the Web, television and print.
We’d like to thank both AsianAvenue and PC Magazine for the chance to promote yo-yoing even more. We hope this is just the beginning!

Kyo Alph Yo-Yo Pre-Order Available at YoYo Nation!

Kyo Alph YoYo

Have you wanted the ultra-limited edition TiPhiter2 Titanium yoyo by Kyo, but couldn’t afford the steep $300.00 USD price tag?

Well, the Kyo Alph yoyo is your chance to play with one that’s modeled exactly after the TiPhiter2 yoyo, but in a very high-grade aluminum.

The “7075″ aluminum the Alph yoyo uses is harder, more difficult to scratch, and makes the yoyo FEEL high-end.

In terms of play, it uses two flush mounted Dif-E-Yo Dif-Pads for response, giving you the ability to customize your response from the variety of pads available. Moreover, it weighs in at just around 70g; a very popular weight for string trick play.

Note: the pictures reflect a pre-production model that is not laser engraved. The final version will be serialized with the Kyo logo engraved on the yoyo.

These are scheduled to ship next Friday, 10/27/06, and
are limited to only 250 pieces world-wide!!!
