Hey guys, I got my Confection just yesterday. Unboxed it and opened the yoyo up to check out the bearing, pads etc. I then closed it to play with it. When closing, I noticed that I can't fully tighten the yoyo. Well, it was closed pretty tightly and was still playable, though you can still turn the yoyo to tighten it more. I avoided doing that because I knew it would screw the yoyo up. I played with it and it was perfectly fine. This morning I woke up and played with it. I got a knot so I opened the yoyo to remove it, and when I was screwing it back together, I just couldn't tighten it. When I try to screw it back together it just turns around the axle continuously without tightening. Sometimes it tightens just a bit and when I continue screwing it in it just stops tightening. So I opened the yoyo up and took the axle out. (For anyone who doesn't know, the Confection's axle is really short) So I put on the axle on the yoyo only a little bit and tried to screw it back together. Still didn't work. I noticed that on one half of the yoyo the axle can be tightened in the hole but on the other half when I put the axle on it, it just drops in the hole without tightening. I'm pretty sure it stripped. And I'm sure the axle didn't strip because I tried it on my Yoyoskeel Stalker and it worked. I also tried using Stalker's axle for the Confection and it didn't work either. Please help me out with this! I just got it yesterday and it happened. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I would contact the manufacturer. If you bought from someone else, send it to a modder like Ricerocket to get it retapped.

I have probably rethreaded more stuff (in my line of work<>43 years of Automotive/ Bodyshop work/other than full on Machinists)than anybody that has ever even read this board since the day it first came online; hahaha. < I have a machineshop in my garage. But if I personally got a short axle yoyo that stripped out and I was sure it was not my fault; I would contact the necessary people and ship it back.
I have never seen the inside of a Confection, but on short axles, the options are very limited. Oh; there are things that could be done, but require more time than it's worth; in my 'modders' opinion.
I could fix it.. Ricerocket could fix it. Kyle Weems could fix it. < But we would just be proving one thing>><< that we could fix it; haha.
If it was an old yoyo and happened to be your totally all time favorite; I would fix it for free and even pay for return shipping(something I have been doing for 12 years now)(I mod yoyos for free and use my own money to ship them back<don't ask me why; I just think it's fun bringin stuff back from the dead).
But a New or almostbrandnew metal yoyo with a 'short' axle'................... nah; Homie don't play that.
Now the good news. I just put out a challenge to the other modders. Especially the ones that don't like me; hahaha. Somebody may contact you and tell you,' Well, Mo has been drinking too much Weaksauce. HE won't touch your yoyo, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,'I' will. I can do it. I am not afraid of work. Mo failed....... hahahahaha
So that alone might get you a free repair.
But sadly; if nobody jumps in to prove how good they are at stripped axle repair; I would suggest contacting the appropriate people and getting an unstripped half.
