My DM2 seems not to want to screw back together. I unscrewed it last night to undo a knot and then spent about 10 minutes fiddling with the thing to get the half I took off back on axle. After much fiddling it did eventually go back together. I seem to be having a bad run with knots at the moment and 9 times out of 10 I seem to spend more time trying to screw the thing back together than actually playing with it, but then sometimes it goes back together like a dream without any problems at all.
The axle looks fine, as well as both hubs (assuming I've got my terminology right here). Anyone got any suggestions?

Mine is the same way. I'm not exactly sure how, but after spending lots of time messing with it, I've managed to get the hang of screwing it back together and I now have very few issues with it. I guess it's just a matter of getting it lined up correctly first.

I had some problems with the same thing when I first started throwing. It really is just a matter of getting to know all the little quirks of your yoyo. I still have a little trouble screwing my Battosai together because the axle is so short. You might want to try using a paper clip or a toothpick to get snags and knots out of your string from now on. Axles are easy to strip, and when that happens, your yoyo is effectively ruined. The less you unscrew your yoyo, the better.

Yeah I will. Thanks for the advice.

for real nasty snags go get a pair of tweezers, they will allow you to get most any snag out in a flash, without taking apart your yoyo. I have a pair nearbey all the time. For a lot of snags a toothpick or whatever will get em, but if you managed to tighten it up at all, the tweezers will be your friend.
