I really need a new response in my genesis because me trying to silicone it with RTV silicone..... (not very easy), and was wondering if Chaz pads would fit into a regular genesis. How long would they last? Is it a better idea for me to just try and find flowable silicone and silicone it?

I had a first generation Genesis and hat pads did wonders in it. I suggest those, but if Chaz made some hat pad sized chaz pads I'm sure they'd be great too.

I think Chaz pads wouldn't work because the silicone grove is too thin and Chaz pads are for pad response yoyos.

So what would you recommend?

I would reccomend K Pads. I always use gasket maker silicone but if that's hard to work with then just use flowable.

What size K pads? And how long would they last?

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the older Genesis used a wider response pad, while the newer Genesis uses a slimmer pad. That being the case, if you have an old Genesis, I recommend General yo hatpads, they won't fill the response area completely, but they will work awesome, and last a long time. If you have the slimmer response pad version, slim k pads would work out awesome as yoyospirit suggested.

I believe its a first Gen, it has a green or teal like acid wash. I bought it January 2010 from a forum user and there was no colors like it available at the time so it was earlier than that i believe

If you want to put pads in it then, I reccomend General yo Hat pads. I ran my old Genesis with one thick and one thin hat pad, and it was the perfect response for me.

Its worth a shot, but since the response gap is so large it may rip out fairly easy. I still recommend hat pads, but using flowable would be cheaper, although you may have to reapply it more frequently due to the big response gap.

Flowable silicone work well considering the first run came stock with flowable. But hat pads would very well too but isn't too easy get like silicone.
