My father died in a fire just like that two Novembers ago. I'm so glad that you and your direct family are OK, but it's horrible that the dogs didn't make it. You're going to be in my prayers, I hope you make it through this tough time.

Ok, so once again all you guys thanks for everything. I suppose now I should tell the story of what the investigaters think happened.

I'll start at the beginning:

May 6th
I am at home with my girlfriend, having a normal day. I remember sometime before noon my sister told me that she had a terrible cinco de mayo, and didnt even get drunk. I wasnt very sympathic because I dont see why one must celebrate holidays they no not the meaning of (and she most deffinutly doesnt). None the less she tells me she and her new boyfriend (who I have yet to meet) are going to go down to Dewey beach for the night (Dewey is often known for being a great place for the beer sipping party goer to go in delaware, it is about an hour and a half from where I live). I tell her to go for it and that was that.
By sometime before midnight my mom gets a call from my sister in dewey. She tells my mom that she just got a phone call from her boyfriends house (keep in mind she is with her boyfriend). When she answered the voice she got was one of a voice deformer box thing (you know they kind you see in movies, I think bruce used one in Batman Begins...). Anyways, the voice says conveys to her thing I should not like to say in this forum, due to the age of some of the possible readers; but in so many words the point of it was a negitive statment geared toward stabbing my sister's baby (which is my baby nephew, that is at the house with me and my mom). My sister tells my mom that her boyfriend's dad just went over to his house to see if there were any signs of breaking and entering; none. My mom tells her to file a 911 report; and she does. That was the end of the night everyone was to bed by 12:30. My girlfriend and I went to bed with and chihuahua that my girlfriend had become quite fond of. And that was that.

May 5th

5:30 am
I am awake in bed, I can't get back to sleep all I could do was think about all the school work I have due this coming week. I lay there waiting for my alarm to go off in an hour at 6:30.

Circa 5:45
The chihuahua wakes up, and tries to get it's whole body under the covers. This wakes me up even more and also my girlfriend; she tells me that she doesnt want the dog under the covers because it will not be able to breath. I tell her the dog will be fine and for her to go back to bed. She told me ok, but first she had to use the bathroom. She goes to the bathroom as the dog fellows. By the time she is back in bed I look at the clock; 5:55.

5:55 - 6:05
I catch a sent of something burning, at first it smelled pleasing to me, like the someone was having a bon fire down the road (when would have been quite wierd at that hour). I ask Allison if she smelled it too. She does; she goes to the window, the smell is not coming from outside. She opens the bedroom door and sees the end of the hall way glowing red, and then tells me she thinks the house is on fire. I jump out of bed wearing only my PJ pants and nothing else. I run to the living room only to see a canopy of flames engulfing the ceiling above me. I scream at the top of my lungs, think like "wake up", "fire", cursing and swearing, while I punch holes in the dry wall trying to wake everyone up. By the time I got out side my mom had the baby outside safe and my girlfriend was out there (without the dog). I run to our friends house across the street, and tell them to call 911, and I run back to my burning house. First thing I ask was were Pops was. He was still inside his room. I hop the fence and run as fast as I could to the back of the house where there was a sliding glass door I would be able to break to save him. As I come running around I here Pops yelling from the other side of the house. I skip the glass door and fellow his voice. He is standing at window with a black smoke screen pouring out of it, he needs me to get him some thing to climb down on. I look around a minute for anything I could use, I find a left over wooden railing we had left over from when we put up the pourch a few years back I lean that up against the house and as he starts to climb out I see the nieghbor running over to us and I decide to leave him to help pops as I run back around the house to go back in and try and save the dogs. By the time I get back in the house this time things are totally different. The smoke is thick and black and everywhere. I crawl as fast as I  could toward my room where the chihuahua was; all the while holding my breathe. The only light I had was the fire raging at the end of the hallway and even still I couldnt really open my eyes with all the smoke. I get to my bedroom door and reach up for the handle 3 times, praying to god that the dog would be pawing at the door trying to get out; on my third try i get the door handle to open, and I am hit with an even thinker veil of smoke and a broken heart knowing that the dog was most likely hinding under the bed and I would run out of air if I didnt get out of the house with in the next 30 secounds. I close my eyes hold my breathe again this time a breathe of more carbon than oxygen, and I stand up and run, using my hand and opening an eye every few seconds to get out.  By the time I get out all I can think of is the dogs that are still inside. I run around the house and get up to my bedroom window and punch the glass out, and rip the window frame out too. The same smoke I had just escaped starts pouring out as I tried to see if the see the dog on my bed where I would be able to grab it. Yet again I fail, I can see nothing but the fire on the ceiling. I run to the front of the house where my pops is know starting up his power washer that he had on the porch. He is spraying the side of the house with it. I take it from him and stab it threw a widow in the front of the house. Just then my neighbor and girlfriend start yelling from across the street.    Why is there a hole in the window next to you.      I look to my right and there is a nice round hole broken into the window next to me. A widow that would have lead to looked into the living room, where I first saw the flames. A few minutes later I have to stop trying to fight the fire with the power washer because the fire fighters had arrived.

At this point I am wet and cold with almost nothing on. The neighbors gave me a shirt and let me use a pair of shoes that were too small, but it was better than nothing. A few minutes after that the red cross showed up and also the CEO of the hospital where my pops works. Threw out the day I had interviews with the police detectives and fire marshall. There is still an investigation as to who did this. The head police detective on the case told me "in no way shape or form was this an accident". I am currently staying at my girlfriend's mom's boyfriend's house and we are in the process of dealing with the insurance companies that arent being very helpful.

I would just like to say sorry if the are a lot of grammar/spelling errors in this for I did not re-read anything I just typed.

Also I want to say thank you to eveyone for the support and I do plan on coming out to every contest I can this summer, including worlds again. A few people have asked me for an address to send things to me. Honestly I would feel terrible taking money, but if you have any medium sized shirts, jeans that are between 30x32 to 32x32, or even old shoes size 11-12. PM me and we can talk.
Anyways a good address would be at my dad's house in maryland:

James Keenan IV (its important to put  IV else he will think its his)
