B/S/T Has taken a turn for the worse the past one to two years. I think on these internet forums (and for kids at contests) the sport has become trading/buying and bragging about cool, rare yoyos than actually playing.
All I see is VNYYC and CLYW in the B/S/T. It seems a step away from scalping to me. Everyone just trading and selling their "mint" yoyos for other rare yoyos.
Frustrating, all right.
i dont exactly get what you are trying to say here. I agree with YOAaron. My short experience with the bst has been - for the most part - really great. I very rarely have a mint yoyo to trade, and have rarely traded for completely mint yo-yos. Sure, there are collectors out there, but I've had no problem finding people just like me, who like to play their yo-yos, to trade with. agreed, but @wiggum why would trading mints/rares and amazingly playing high-end yoyos be anything like scalping? I've seen plenty of cases where the minute a yoyo sells out at the couple major retailers, they start appearing on the BST with a 10% - 15% percent mark up. Just look at the huge price range for 54s right now, over the last couple weeks I've seen them go for anything between 80 and 150+. To me that means some people bought one and didnt care for it so they sold it while others are just looking to make a couple bucks.

SCREEN NAME"I'm looking for ________ and _______" mean while it's listed in the other BSTs 2 or 3 down from the the above post. You really need to read people . Most of the requests people are asking are not rare and you can get them if you just hunt for a bit. No need to take up space posting a want ad because you can't read some of the BTSs.

No need to take up space posting a want ad because you can't read some of the BTSs. Your lame gripes are becoming a gripe of mine....lol. Get a life, seriously, not everyone wants to spend 3-4 hours a day pouring over every BST add on every forum there is, some of us actually like to throw yoyos!!! So you know what those people do ?? That's right they put up a want add, and then if someone see that want add, and they in turn want to trade/sell that 'wanted' yoyo to said member, they contact said member and all is good in yoyo land. That is how a want add works, I would think if anyone would know that, it would be Capt. America, America is the home of consumerism after all.

The things people complain about these days...Perhaps they've already talked to the people who listed the yoyo and couldn't strike a deal? Thus, those ads are worthless to him and he must continue his search.
