So the there are people here that have a BST and they really want to sale their stuff more than trade it (ok I can understand that) But when I offer $110.00 of yoyos and offer to pay for all shipping for your $60 yoyo and they say they'er not interested that makes me think they would rather only sale it a not trade unless it was for their "holy grail" yoyo. Another thing if people really need to sale their stuff because they need $$ for a new throw or their car is broke down or they need a heart transplant or....................... THEN WHY NOT RESPOND TO YOUR PMs???!!!!!! We can see your last active date and time, stop acting like you were busy or life happens-- BS(bullstuff)!!! It's right there plain as day your were last on X hours ago, x hours AFTER I sent you the PM. People that say they will ignore low ball offers. WHY?? haven't you ever negotiated before? It's one of the 1st life skills we all learn dealing with our parents . I could understand ignoring an offer or a yoyo value that was 50% below your asking price. But if I throw out an offer that is 20% less, that is more than a fair offer to negotiate with. MY LAST GRIPE People that go running or exercise in the gym but either before or right afterward go and smoke a cigarette. WHAT THE DUCK IS THAT ABOUT!!!

Well, funny thing is that people don't seem to even know what "low-ball" means in the BST.
And it's the seller's choice to see through the trade. Not just that, but trades are done so they will receive something that they may trade again in the future for something that they really desire, even if the current trade is not of their true interest.
It is, as rude as it is, the seller's choice to respond to PM's. There is no law or rule anywhere that one must reply back to a message sent.
And as for the smoking, again it's their choice. I find it rather stupid but that's their choice.

I guess they don't need that kidney transplant ($$$) for gramgram as bad as they said they did in their intro. Not just that, but trades are done so they will receive something that they may trade again in the future for something that they really desire, even if the current trade is not of their true interest. one of my MANY attemps at negotiating

and if you put your body through the stress of exercise why should you add the extra-stress of nicotine withdrawal I never had to deal with addiction in regard to my body. When I smoked and wanted to quit- I threw the pack (or bag) away. When I drank and was finished, I put the bottle or mug down.

While we are at it. Lets define what Mint means.
Mint means it is exactly the same as it was new. It doenst mean that you satined the rims, took out the stock response and did a bad job siliconing it, and it doesnt mean that you took the 10 ball bearing out of a one drop and replaced it with some junk you had laying around.
MINT means perfect exactly as it was new. If its not that, then its Near Mint or worse

My gripes with some common BST practices
I ignore threads where the OP doesn't list any prices and just says "offer up" I can understand if you have a rare yo-yo that everyone wants (I did the same thing with a Torrent) but with yo-yos that are readily available in stores or on the BST, put up the price you would like to get for it, so we know where to start from.
I also ignore threads where the OP says something like, "This yo-yo is near and dear to me, it has tremendous sentimental value, It's my main player, I love it, when I die the mortician will have to pry this yo-yo out of my cold dead hand, you will have to offer up your eternal soul (plus a pile of cash) and even that may not be enough... but go ahead and offer.
No...just no. If you want to keep your yo-yo, then keep it. If you want to sell it, then sell it. I won't make an offer on a yo-yo I know the person wants to keep.
oh yeah, responding to PMs is a good habit when selling yo-yos.

i do hate that! " its mint with a few tiny dings"... what?!! also the bearing thing is really starting to get on my nerves!!! it even happens from reputable members, i got a "MIB" marmot... with a YYF bearing in it, that needed to be cleaned to say the least... i dont want a YYF bearing in my CLYW! and i just noticed it right before i traded it! i at least told the person i was traded that some nunchuck put in a YYF bearing and i dont have anything else to throw in there...for the most part we all know what bearings come in what throws... next time i buy/trade a "MIB" throw, and it has the wrong bearing im going to put a neg, on the feedback, for misrepresenting the throw at hand! my 2 cents...

MY Brother Larry Grahm from the little town of Wasington has this Chevota he made which is his toyota land cruser/jeep thing and it has a small block v8 chevy motor in it. Very cool! we now return you to your topic.

I think "MIB" is used way too often. To me, "mint in box" means it's never been open, and I don't care if you've opened the box from the bottom.
Honestly, when I trade yoyo's, they are misrepresented about 50% of the time. Maybe I'm just hitting a mean streak or something, but it's starting to really piss me off. I hate to ask every little question (the exact condition, quality of play, what bearing it will include, if they're shipping in a box, etc.) but that's what it's come down to.

Well im one of those guys... i will say MIB if i open it from the bottom... to me it still is MIB. Normally i will buy a new yoyo take it out from the bottom throw it once or twice to see how it plays... then place it right back in the box... still mint... thus being MIB. I mean im sure every yoyo that has been sold was tested before being placed in the box, so its not much different...

"If you offer anything other than what's on my trade list, I will BAN you." <--- stuff like that is pretty funny too, like a dare. It's just begging for me to SPAM inboxes with lowballs and offers of plastic yomegas.

I just think that MIB is being mis-used most of the time. Tested by the manufacturer, and tested by the customer are two different things, though.

I have experienced all of thees issues in buying or trading. I will only deal with a trade or buying situation if they post a pic. I think it should be mandatory. The sting of not getting exactly what was posted in the thread is deep and flat out frustrating. The term MIB is beyond abused and if you took it out of the box it is no longer MIB it is MWB "Mint with box". Also I would never deal with some one again because of the term Mint unless i see a pic of all sides. For all those Meat heads that only show one side of the yo-yo I know what you are up to. Good luck and be weary with the BST there are a lot of stuff going on there that makes me really weary to deal in it.
