i drop it from the bottle and mine are all 100% unresponsive. i can barely tell between the ones i've lubed and the ones i haven't.

You are not alone, if you add an actual drop not, just carefully making sure the smallest drop comes out or using a needle point, they do become slightly responsive. That combined with a fresh response or a non recessed silicone job can make for the throw shooting back at you for a little while. Try the needle method, its a little wasteful depending on how you do it, but just drop a bit of the v4m on the needle until you get a very small drop on the point, then put that amount on the bearing and go from there. Sometimes that amount does nothing to silence the bearing so add another drop until you are satisfied with the result, but always keep in mind that it may take a little play time to make it completely unresponsive. Out of all the lubricants I would like to think the v4m is the thinnest and best one since even the small needle tip doesnt make them completely responsive...but I honestly dont know if it is much different than any other lubricant compound wise.
