yoyoing in the rain?

Idk where to put this... so ill put it here.

I live in WA and it rains a lot... can the rain damage my bearin in anyway or effect my yoyo?

As long as you keep the yoyo together there shouldn't be any damage.  Also if its not a stainless steel bearing it will eventually rust so be careful!  Another annoying thing is that your string will get wet and make it harder to use.

it can rust the bearing. also, the rain isn't a great friend of string/grinds.

wet string sucks!
I cant even yoyo immediately after I wash my hands. It has to be completely dry or else the string will be hard to handle.

and I always make sure my hands are clean before I yoyo (I HATE dirty string) so it gets quite annoying.

As long as you maintain your bearings regularly, you shouldn't have any problems. But that applies no matter where you live.

For the string problem you could try making some from fishing line.  Not sure how well it works.  A few folks were experimenting with it awhile back.
