Hey all! I have a problem. I was doing basic horizontal style tricks with my Battosai, and the string broke, and my battosai felt straight down to the floor perfectly sideways. Upon inspection, the ding wasn't too bad at all, so I quickly got over it. Then I threw it and something wasn't right. It vibed. and not like, a little "whatevs" vibe. My question is, what do you guys think is the problem? Do you think the axel got a little bent (i hope that's it), or do you think the concentricity was thrown off? I think I'll purchase a new axel to try. Please help? All help is appreciated.

Take the axle out and roll in across a flat surface. If it doesn't roll smoothly then the axle is bent.

thats really a good idea you may also want to add that it was dead smooth when you bought it. your thread topic makes it sound like it had vibe from the maker

That's why I'm worried. I rolled it, and it didn't seem bent. Any other ideas? Is it possible that the bearing seat got damaged or something during the impact? On side of the side seems to be a bit more loose than it was. But idk.

Try swapping out the axle and the bearing, thats the first thing I do if a yoyo picks up extra vibe.

I'm pretty impressed by anyone who can look at a drawing and decide how well the yoyo will play.

you say it like it isn't true though.
I had a battosai in the same situation. dead smooth, dropped it, nothing seemed wrong, had vibe afterwards. nothing you can do but suck it up and hope it doesn't happen again.

it is possible that the impact knocked the race loose in the bearing. good idea to swap it and check. do you have an SADR? they use the same axle

Sadly, I don't have a SADR. But I'll try to get to a hardware store soon and get a new axle. I'm reaally hoping it works lol.

unfortunately, i have dropped my battosai also. it has a very very VERY slight tiny vibe on grinds, which is probably the bearing, because it's basically completely smooth on the string.

lol the editing is kinda weird. Well, I should be getting a new axle tomorrow if the roads aren't too icy (wth, houston?). Hopefully it corrects the vibe. If it doesn't, i'll try temoporary means of thickening the bearing seat (scotch tape), and if that works, I'll clear coat it to make it a snug fit.

and not like, a little "whatevs" vibe.
I think if its still the same after a new axle you've probably bent the bearing seat.. (for the record my Battosai is incredibly smooth)

If the bearing seat is bent (how likely is this?), how much is it for someone to re-hub the yo-yo?
