54 Help
« on: December 25, 2010, 10:30:29 AM »

Okay, so first off, Merry Christmas guyz!  I grabbed a sunrise fade 54 for XMas, and a few other things.  So i threw the 54 with the aluminum spikes, and it played AMAZING!!! Then, after like 30 minutes of play with that, i decided to switch it out for the brass domes, and they were really viby, i dont know if it was just my yoyo, or the side effects.  I actually like the feel of the Brass domes more, but its just so viby that its really hard toplay with them.

Any tips on how i can fix this will be appreciated

it could be your throw, how tight(it doesnt hurt to give it the extra twist), flip the sides(side with axle into other side) and see if you still feel it

My 54 is actually smoother with the brass domes in...

Try the above help; if it doesn't work contact 1drop.

From owning two 54s both with the stock SE....I have to say you a small adjustment has to be made in your throw when switching side effects.  I could get the aluminum spikes to be smooth with every throw, but the brass domes were harder to get just right.  The brass SE left less margin for a sloppy throw, and over all improved my throw a ton.  Test smoothing it out with your finger, it it start to vibe tighten a little bit, of course be careful.  If that does not fix it then maybe you should contact OD.

My problem has been resolved now, but your right in a way.  The new side effects that 1D sent me though, you could feel a difference.  The ones i had made it woble, and i've been yoyoing for 1 year and 3/4 of a year
