It seems that having a thread that includes all your mods is the hip new thing to do, so here goes. This FH2 was highwalled and siliconed for skillman14. The face of the yo-yo polished up really nicely even without extremely high grit sandpaper.  These Freehand Zeroes were silicone recessed and tuned for oyoyoy. They play so nice.   |

The "roughness" on the edges of the recess on the FH2 is a bit of an optical illusion. As far as I can tell it is a combination of a slight imperfection in the silicone itself and a cheap camera. In person you can't see it.

After taking another look at the FH2 I have found the reason for the "chatter." It isn't chatter at all. It is the ' www.yo-yo.com' from the inside of the yo-yo showing through the plastic. This is why the "chatter" is nowhere to be seen on the Freehand Zeros. |

I used 220, 400, 600, and 800 grit sandpaper in both radial and crosshatching patterns. That was followed up with a quick brush with steel wool. Then I finished things off with a liberal use of Nevr Dull.

These two Freehand Zeros are currently en route to Buddy Jim. Black is a very unforgiving color, but it turned out very nicely. I feel like I'm getting a bit better at polishing the faces after cutting. (Click on the pictures for full size)   Disregard the smudging in the pictures. I forgot to clean my camera's lens before shooting. |

For the highwalled FH2010, did you also have to sand down the spacers to prevent the string from falling into the gap?
