You can make two easy test, take out the tip from the ripcord and insert a bearing outside and inside, if the bearings does not move into the two spaces half of the work is done. If is ok take out the tip from the Giulia top you have and insert it into the ripcord, the top must spin free on it; if the top brakes it means that the hole that holds the bearing is a little too much deep and need a little spacer (i'm looking for them). These problem comes from the molding, the colors ecc, not all the BK/ripcord are the same, the little they change can make the mod work or not; the spacer is near easy to solve, the mobile bearings are a serious problem, the top will not gain anything from the mod. Otherwhise as fixed tip is absolutely wonderful.

If you have a BK or RC, take the tip out and see if a lone Duncan bearing fits snug in the lower bearing cavity.  If it does, the S8 kit should improve bearing play immensely.  You need to  balance any wobble the top has, and tape the seam.  If you want to get real funky drill a 1" hole in the cap to reduce the top-heavy-ness of it and you're in business.
