I give you... FrankenPeak!

I got this Peak from ReverendYoaround May of '08.  He had done a custom ano job to the Peak, but somehow the bearing seat on one half had gotten damaged.  I bought it from him planning to SPR it.  One thing led to another, end it ended up looking like this:



Hubless Peak!  Far out!  So, I put the two halves in a box and figured someday I'd get around to doing a hub mod on it.  Well, that time has come!  About a week ago I decided to get a 1" black delrin rod to make hubs for the Peak out of.  Here are the new hubs cut and ready to go in the Peak:

After letting the yoyo sit for 24 hours to make sure everything was set up (the hubs were an extremely tight fit, but I decided to use a little Gorilla Super Glue just to make sure they weren't going anywhere!).  Tonight I drilled and tapped a thread 'repair' insert and recessed in a Born Crucial SPR.  This means that you could also drop in a small bearing SPR to play it either as a large or small bearing!  I am out of small bearing SPRs, so I can't say how it plays as a small bearing

It is very smooth.  Not General Yo smooth (but then again, what else is?!) but very smooth.

First of all. HOLY CRAP THAT"S AMAZING!... Secondly. Can we expect to see this on your BST, or are you gonna keep it and hold it over the wrest our heads for eternity so we eventually melt do to shier envy?

Well I am lucky enough to be painting this yoyo for a fellow YYN'er and let me tell you the work Ricerocket did to this is beyond explanation by far one of the best mods I have played this thing is smooth as silk.

Kudos Rice for a job well done, hope my paint job will be the same. Oh and you started it when you called it FrankenPEAK haha you know where the paint job is going.
