Personally, I would never use a gold yoyo. EVER. Much less buy one. It's more of a novelty item. Why don't you keep it in good conditon, and put it up for sale in the BST in 30 years?

Honestly, seeing as how well not using breakaways work for Leo, and Alexis. I don't think its much of a problem.

It's funny how no one seems to notice I don't throw breakaways either.
But seriously, knowing how to do both and understanding the mechanics of both throws,
really opens up a whole new dimension of yoyoing.

Because spin direction is an important factor in tricks and without throwing breakaways you're limited to only one spin direction without awkward body turning.

Sorry but I have to disagree there.  My gold Pure is the best "d" size Pure I own, and I own em all.  Only Pure that outplays it is the 1A Pure and only by a bit.  Only lack is in grinds, but thats on every one except the couple beadblasted ones.

And yeah long as your enjoying how you throw, it shouldn't matter.  

Just my 2 cents.  Get 3 more pennies and go get yourself a nickel.

You must have got a good one.   Ive played with more than a few Pures and the gold ones where the worst by far.  The XO and raw ones were the only real smooth ones that I ever threw.  Everything else had some vibe or wobble for what ever reason.

I consider myself lucky then, my XO has a bit of vibe to it, not as much as the others though.  The gold one is dead smooth.

I got you to thanks for the Pure buying spree Mr. Gold Pure poster guy   Hasn't improved my swagger one bit!  But I got crazy G tho, so it all good baby boy!

yeah i consider myself lucky too then because mine is like 10X smoother than my production run and vsop and XO as well....it has not even the smallest bit of vibe what-so-ever...lol and i am very much enjoying my gold pure
