Response Compendium (Collected Knowledge of Response)
« on: June 08, 2010, 11:13:23 AM »

See this as an Index for all Response Information threads in this forum. How response works, different types of silicone, etc.

I'll alter this thread as I find more and as more knowledge-base threads are created.

Threads

Guide To Yo-Yo Response
Summary: How yo-yo response works. Tug vs binding & the physics behind it all.

Needs
Pad Response Guide
Why: We've got a silicone type guide, but not a pad guide.

Guide to tuning No-Jive/Fixed axle yo-yos.
Why: Need to know what different tuning does what to the response. Gap limitations, etc.

Changelog

I always have trouble with finding out which size pads my yoyo needs. Maybe someone could make a thread about that.

Well I know for one thing, the inner diameter doesn't really matter too much (to me) because if you get a smaller inner diameter you sacrifice compatibility between all your yo-yos. I always buy the larger inner diameter because I never have a problem binding and I want pads that will fit anything.

I've only got two pad yo-yos anymore and barely throw them anymore.
