I hope you don't mind me coming up to you, and asking to try them all. I have had yet to try a String theory, and have been wanting to try one for a while.

Maybe it's just because I dig skinny chicks, but some of those shapes disgust me...as though they were pudgy fat chicks. You guys should take the remnant, and make the stepped profile steeper and fatten the insides of the rims, get some sort of purdy ano, graded bead blast and enjoy being able to just produce the heck out of it because people won't be able to get enough of it. Then you could use the time that it takes for the craze to die down a bit to design another hit.
If people like all four of those yo-yos, then they like them. Some of those profiles seem like they were done for the sake of pretentiousness though. There is enough that can be done to the guts and inside areas of a yo-yo that keeping a very similar shape to the remnant and just changing stuff could result in a yo-yo that plays better or differently.
Look at the new Oxy...I have never seen so many oxies go up for grabs so shortly after release AND go for sane prices. Pointlessly unique shapes are fail. Then again, there could be some function and tweaks behind those shapes that go beyond rim weight and I am just too stupid to notice it.

We are definitely trying some new stuff. Ie we're not the type of company that releases a really simple shape with minimal changes, but rather we're looking to get really inventive with our shapes and stuff.
That said, the Quark is probably the most "out there" of our new stuff, and most of our new stuff is filling gaps in the product line (ie, a mini, a full size, etc...) and we're also working on prettier colors and finishes (tumbled and beadblasted, especially). We may also do a revision on the remnant sometime in the future, probably with just those suggestions.

Which one is the Quark? Could you list them "top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right"?

it's supposed to be a mystery, but they're named counterclockwise starting from the remnant.

Cool, thanks. The first one counterclockwise (Quark) was the one that looked the most intriguing to me. I'll be on the lookout.

Definitely hit up the graded coarse bead blasts/hardcoats. Not enough companies do them anymore. I think Spyy and Ilyy are the only companies that put them out with any regularity. There isn't anything wrong with tumbling etc, but I know that many of us have a soft spot for thick and slate-like anodized coatings.

we're releasing both finishes (beadblasted and tumbled), so you'll definitely have a choice. Choice is good.

We strive to innovate while offering a wide variety of play styles, our designs are first and foremost play oriented and I guarantee that these proto's each not only fill a hole in our product line but offer the best in performance and play depending on your preferences. Many companies try to offer the same profile knowing that it is a classic that will sell well and while I do not deny that we will probably release a similar profile at some point in the future, we want to stand out as a company that can blend form and function into a master piece of high performance yoyoing. We are here to change the game son!!!
