kinda surprised and disappointed with the price of the new release of canvases. I was under the impression the reason the canvases were more expensive was because they were a collab with artists, but these are unengraved and the price is still really high.

you guys say that like 140 is a good deal. There are plenty of manufacturers such as vs newton that make splashes and acid washes on high end yoyos and they arent charging anywhere near this price. Also the 1st run were plain colors while this run have all been splashes and or acid washes. This adds to the cost as well!!
right but it was my understanding that the first run was more because a percentage was going to jensen cause he was the artist or whatever. gnarwhals and avalanches have been splashes and acid washes and they were able to maintain a normal price. |

yea i know. Sorry if im coming off as a negative nancy but im just having trouble coming to terms with the fact that the price of clyw yoyos seems to have escalated so much so quickly....especially for a product that seems to be mainly purchased by kids (to whom a 35 dollar price increase is a huge deal) -in this respect it seems to me it would have made more sense to make more rather than raise the price so much. I dont currently own any of your yoyos Heath, but they look awesome and I am probably going to swoop some in the near future. hahaha please go easy on my wallet bro. |

so anyways....i love both of my chiefs! the first run is def my fav yo at the moment though; just overall fun to play and amazing! i usually like larger/heavier yos, but i definitely like the lighter one better!! ps:  SO excited about this!!!!!!! |

Quick story from this summer. I live in Toronto, which is here. For the past couple of years I've been going to Canadian nats because it's really awesome, kind of patriotic, and the first year it was in Calgary I was the only person from east of Alberta that competed. Last summer was the second time it was in Calgary, which is here. This is a 3400km trip by car, actually more like 3300 since I left form Ottawa. Needless to say I flew instead. But this is pretty far, and since I was going all that way, for the past few years I've been making an extended vacation out of Canadian nats. This year was no different: Calgary->Banff->Jasper->Kelowna->Vancouver. I bought an Avalanche from Chris when I was at nats and brought it with me in my camera bag fir the rest of my trip. Some remarkable happened while I was at Mount Edith Cavell. This is Mount Edith Cavell, an amazing glacier, that in July had a lake with icebergs. You see, glaciers are a bit unstable in hot weather, so while I was there, there was a small (really small) avalanche. Here's the video (more for the sound than anything):
