Just thought I'd mention here, I love YYJs, but please bring back small gaps (I.E. 4.2 mm or smaller)! The legacy is about as big a gap as I like on a YYJ. Failing that, could the stock response be above-flush silicone or something like that? (this tends to work well). I really like the play of the New Breed & Meteor, but the huge gap is a big deal-breaker. Other than that I love all you're yoyos.

Also, I heard from Grant that his signature yoyo was delayed b/c of a string cutting issue or something. Any idea of when it will be released? I really enjoyed that yoyo.

If you're talking about Fiesta, it will be out very soon. Hopefully within a month or so.

We will see about the smaller gap yoyos since the gaps on the yoyos that you've mention are decided by the people who designed the yoyos.
If the players who are getting signature yoyo wants a yoyo with small gap, then we will have them.
I also don't have a set date for Grant's signature yoyo yet, but we are hoping to release them soon. I will keep you guys updated.

Maybe it's just me but I feel like and many other people too, that YYJ doesn't listen to their customers, and by that I mean, why are you still using hybrid?  Why aren't you making more yoyos with celcon, and why aren't you remaking old throws with celcon.  Celcon hitmen and night moves etc would fly off the shelves.  I could fill a book with questions and suggestions like this.

I love YYJ have for many years, since the shockwave 1, and I feel like you guys just dropped the ball, you went from number one company to barely top 5.  And, you could easily be up there with YYF and OD if you made slight change, maybe you guys just don't want to.

he's right. I mean look at how many people like your YYJ NewBreed and that has silicone... yes it has a big gap (which some people don't like, for me it doesn't really matter) but notice how many good reviews you get off that yoyo.

YYJ should take some outdated models and make them better. For example the Speeder (its my favorite yoyo) they should make an edition that has widened gap and silicone responce. Many people complain about hybrid response. And another yoyo that could be improoved is the Dark Magic, its a very overrated throw, many have the problem that their DM is too responsive or that the hybrid response bothers them, they should make a silicone and widened gap DM.

I echo the gaps-being-way-the-frick-too-wide-on-new-designs-and-the-Lyn-Fury complaint, and also the whyyyy-hybrid-response-anymore complaint. But judging from the past, you're probably not going to do anything about it, nor would you even consider listening to these apparently really bad ideas:

Dual o-ring Kicksides.
NM2 reissue.
More clear/enyo yoyos.

And yes i also have to agree with the posts above. Nobody wants hybrid response anymore. Modern yoyos use silicone response because they play so much better and are a lot more reliable. Ive been a YYJ user my entire life, ever since i got my first YYJ lyn fury ive stuck with you guys ever since. And that was 3 years ago, today my collection consists of entire YYJs because thats ALL i use. On top of that, the quality control is inconsistent. Mickey himself bought several AP speeders and found out that one of them had one of the side cap missing, so he had to change it for another. You guys produce great yoyos, which is why im still throwing YYJs till today, but lately the satisfaction is becoming a hit or miss thing.

Response is all preference. I LOVE hybrid. Its not that hard to get a hybrid to be dead un-responsive.. And you all are mentioning on improving signature yoyos. The people who designed them WANT them that way..

Any idea on when Jamboos will restock?

I'm not sure I'd call it overrated; I think the DM is an awesome throw. I agree though about the hybrid response. The DM would be much better without it, although, it is an issue easily rectified by your nearest mod for ~$10. I see no issues with the gap; just get some shims if you need it bigger. That's the cool thing about the DM and most other YYJs, you can easily adjust the gap to your liking.

I agree with MAKE MORE HGs! I am a total Yoyojam fanboy; I have a ton of there yo-yos. And none compare with my K-os Extreme.

Oh, and I agree with Chandler- I also love hybrid response. It is all preference.

There's a practical reason for them not doing HG anymore. The price of that plastic went way up, so to keep making a profit they'd have to jack the price up too, which would have the double effect of causing a lot of complaints and ruining the whole point of HG—having the weight benefits of metal without the price.
