There's a practical reason for them not doing HG anymore. The price of that plastic went way up, so to keep making a profit they'd have to jack the price up too, which would have the double effect of causing a lot of complaints and ruining the whole point of HG—having the weight benefits of metal without the price.
I see what you're saying, but to be honest, I wouldn't mind paying 40$ for a new HG ( of course, that's just me ). |

I'm with Ewski on this one. Hybrid response is awesome, the HGs should come back, and I would pay $50 for an HG if I had to. They just have this different feel that I love way above any metal I've ever played. (SFHG Xtra = DA BOMB!!!)
Adjustable gaps are awesome. Keep with them.
What's wrong with the polycarbonate they've been using? Celcon is different, but it has it's downsides too.

hg material is too expensive, that's why they stopped i believe. They yoyos would be a lot more expensive then they used to be. |

Also, when they used HG was prior to all the china lead in toys scare and all the laws that came along with it. Is it worth it to YYJ to get the HG materials checked out by labs and everything? Will the stuff even pass  want I want from YYJ? innovate. don't rehash old stuff, come up with some awesome new plastic throws. noone else is really doing much with plastics (with the gigantic exception of the Protostar) maybe work on a new set of loopers? sunsets are a bit old, and once the loop900s come out, will many people want to buy sunsets? |

I don't know if it's really more dense than polycarbonate, but it could be. I'll take your word for it. As far as I could tell, it's softer than polycarbonate, not stronger. Just doesn't straight-up crack very easily. Grinds, they were no different than with some polycarbonate yoyos I have. Just saying... |

It's most def more dense then poly, hence why YYJ started using it, but as far as soft or hard, coming from a modding stand point poly is harder to cut then celcon, but poly in yyjs isn't as strong as poly in like zeros. But the new celcon metal rimmed yyjs are magnitudes stronger then poly metal rims. I beat the hell out of my atmosphere and new breed, I've broken poly YYJs from just whacking them against my floor. I recall buying a motrix and breaking it in like 5 mins of getting home.

I would like to see yoyos with the shape of the old Shockwave and the Spinmaster 2 and 3.
I loved that shape and was sad to see it go, and no other yoyos have that kind of shape.
Besides the cracking problem, I found my spinmaster 3 to be almost the perfect yoyo.

I would like to see yoyos with the shape of the old Shockwave and the Spinmaster 2 and 3.
I loved that shape and was sad to see it go, and no other yoyos have that kind of shape.
Besides the cracking problem, I found my spinmaster 3 to be almost the perfect yoyo.

Yeah my Spinmaster 2 was great, except for the whole cracking thing. They just need to extend the metal part a bit and then it won't crack when you touch the rims. |

I think you guys should bring back the Sirius. It could have been a great yo-yo. Just use the new guts, turn the poly into celcon, and add about 2 grams to the weight.
