Will there be colors for the 2010 Freehand 2s other than the colors for Freakhands at Toysrus?

I'm think that the new products are a lie and we should not expect anything.

They are not a lie. You have to take into account that things happen and products get pushed back.

I'm glad I had the chance to meet and talk to Brandon this week end, he made me understand a lot of what was and is going on in the yoyoing world, most of that I wasn't aware of. I had the chance to get a unique insight from an emblematic figure of the community and a genuine, proper nice guy.

It really answered all of my questions and corrected some wrong assumptions that I've made. For me, he put together all the little elements that end up making the big picture, took the time to do it right. I now have a completely different view of Duncan, but also the whole yoyoing world.

in the end, it's all about love, and loving one doesn't mean hating on the other either. There is stuff going on that is beyond our grasp, on that, we are prompt to judge. But he made me realize that the most important is to focus on the positive aspects of everything and everyone that surround us and gravitate around us, players, brands, ideas, trends. And be grateful that these guys are all, and not only duncan, working their "behind" off for us to get the most and the best.

in a way, he made me understand how duncan equals love, but also how yoyo, as a whole, equals love. One of the most interesting and insightful conversation I've had in my life and a unique opportunity to learn and try to understand how things work.

Thank you Brandon, I'm looking forward seeing you again, I have no doubt that it will happen.

Any news on the plastic Drifter?
We've decided to move on to other projects for now. The drifter prototypes were not balanced enough and we were having a hell of a time getting them balanced. We may visit the Drifter again in the future, but for now it's not happening.

So, weren't the new CW colours supposed to come out in the fall?
New counterweights were to come with the next restock of Freehand. But unfortunately Toys R Us  replaced the standard Freehand with the Freakhand series, which means that we have not gone through the existing inventory of Freehand yet. When the current inventory of Freehand is gone, they will begin shipping with the new dice colors. Worth mentioning, the Freakhand series was released this fall with 4 new counterweight colors: Translucent Red, Translucent Blue, Translucent Green, Translucent Black.

Will there be colors for the 2010 Freehand 2s other than the colors for Freakhands at Toysrus?
Not anytime soon.

Thanks! Your a swell guy yourself. Glad I was able to sit down and have a chat with you. Looking forward to hanging out again sometime soon!

Any chance we will see any more Counterweight sets? I wish I could still buy the sets you guys used to sell with all the counterweights instead of 3 packs.

Just snagged myself a Pro-Z as well.  I was tempted to buy two or three but I decided I better try one first before I buy more, got to say so far I am impressed.  There's a little flashing on mine but I'll cut it down. Plays pretty smooth once the bearing is broken in and a pad is removed. A little on the light side but it's not bad at all, it could easily become an affordable carry around yoyo.  You wouldn't feel bad for giving it away to a random kid that thinks yoyoing is cool either.

Here's a few shots of it.

Nice. How's it play in the first pic? Is it designed to be a looper as well? I'm going to have to pick one of these up.

It loops fairly well. I haven't tried looping with a sticker over the starbursts yet, but, it's not too bad. It kind of loops a little low for me, that could just be because I haven't really tried to set it up for serious looping yet.

I do have to say, for the price it's a pretty decent little plastic yoyo. It's about the feel of a FH2. It is heavier in the center but it's not all too light after you play with it for a bit. I thought it was rather light at first but now that I have played with it with the MOD spacers in and broken the bearing in, it's a good weight.

Here's the full specs:

Weight: 54G w/out MOD spacers & 60G with MOD spacers.
Diameter: 56.95mm
Width: 28mm w/out MOD spacers & 39.3mm with MOD spacers.
Gap: 2.85mm w/out MOD spacers & 2.95 with MOD spacers.
Bearing: Medium Duncan bearing 5 x 10 x 4

I really want to see a large bearing MOD spacer, heck even a small bearing would be interesting. I actually really, really want to see what the mod community could whip up. It'd be really easy to make an aluminum spacer close to the spec.   Grin

Only thing I dont like about it is the super small gap...plus I hate small beating since they are so temperamental, aka unresponsive one second and then loud and responsive the next second

Deshield, clean up, re-lube.

Personally, I'm a small bearing fan.
