I need help with a research paper about yoyoing!

 So, I am doing a research paper on an innovation, and chose yoyoing. But now I need quotes. So here are some of the things I need quotes on (I know the answers to many of these myself, but we cannot use internet sources (this doesn't include live sources), so I am having trouble finding information I know!). So here are the three main things I need to have quotes on (from you):

-How the manufacturing process and materials have changed (from say the Duncan era?)
-How the tricks and styles have evolved/changed
-How the age group that uses yoyos has changed

So, any information from you guys would be nice!

Here are some more specific questions:
-How has the smoothness of yoyos changes, and how has it impacted play?
-Has the age group that uses yoyos changed? How so, and why?
-What were the positive effects on design from moving away from injection molding, to using a lathe?
-Have the tricks changed? What do they resemble now more, and are they harder?

Just some more info, I am not asking you to find quotes, I am asking you to tell me information you know, so I can quote you. It would be helpful if I had your name. I know it is stupid that this doesn't count as an internet source, but I asked my teacher and he said it was fine. We all know the lack you yoyoing information from a "reputable" site, and the lack of books that are not more than 12 years old on yoyos. I really hope to get some stuff from you guys, I really need it! It would seriously only take a minute of you time, all you have to do it type some yoyo information you know, such as "During the Duncan era, yoyos used fixed axles, but today, they use ball bearings. increasing spin times allowing plays to perform longer, more complicated  tricks". (If you want to type that, it would be cool, then I could use it).

Try looking through ed's posts, or those 66 rules of yoyoing. Bound to be some good quotes there. Jensen Kimmitt & a few others had some great posts in an old "yoyoing = art?" thread or something of the sort.

I don't know what kind of deadline your working with, but a couple of history/interview questions and a self-addressed stamped envelope snail mailed to any and every  pro yoer of interest to you is sure to yeild results that are easily sighted.  You're gonna own the original documents.  Create your own historical perspective.

At first yoyos were low quality wood and plastic fixed axle yoyo. With time yoyos evolved to plasitc transaxle yoyo. The biggest change came when plastic yoyos with bearings were made. Now adays most yoyos have ball ball bearings. After plastics bimaterial yoyo were made, then full metals. A change on plastic yoyo manufacturing is machining the plastic with lathe, some examples of machined plastics: Gungfu, Milk,Silk, Cream.

Yoyos have gone from responsive to unresponsive.
Yoyos have been made with many different materials.
A CAD machine is used to make many of the metal yoyos of today.

Response system:

Starburst came first then others like hybrid, double oring, sticker/pads, the most innovative is flowable silicone.

Prices also have changed the better newerer/innovative the yoyo is the higher the price. eg:


A replica of an "old school" yoyo like a butterfly or a imperial costs 3 dollar and a new yoyo like a G5 or a 888 cost like 110 dollar, so there has been price change.
 

Before only 1a and 2a were played, in this new yoyo era 3a 4a 5a were inveted and now are popular in the yoyo community.

Yoyos can now be media blasted.
Examples: Bead blasting, sand blasting, and candyblasting.
