Hello all, I'm not too sure if any of you guys remember the Gruntbull Orbis, a yoyo that came out about a year ago. Well if you do remember it, and have thrown it, you might remember its style of play. The Orbis is a more floaty yoyo and it has a great ano'd finish...awesome for grinds. It also received some criticism for the absence of much needed rim weight. Believe it or not though, it is still a decent throw. I've been talking to Ted at Gruntbull Anodizing for sometime now about the Orbis and the direction Gruntbull wants to take; we have worked out some sort of sponsorship deal thing. Well now, we are working with the design of the Orbis to make a new yoyo. After making a list of needed improvements, we have a prototype in the making. We are unsure of when anything will happen, but Ted told me that I will have a prototype relatively soon. I thought it would be a good idea to post something because everyone knows Gruntbull as an Anodizing company that once made a yoyo that wasn't a huge success. Can't wait to receive my prototype. Thanks guys, Demo kdelaney@gruntbull.com

The critiques of their first yoyo were fair. I hope they take them and improve, which I'm sure they will.

I don't know about the previous critics but just my 2 cents . .the bearing seat on mine seems a lil tight on one side and loose on the other, maybe he could split the difference? That aside I really like my orbis, but I guess I like a floatier type yoyo. I can't wait to see what the proto is gonna play like . .( you better let me try it . . )

SPYY purposely does the one bearing seat is tight. I think it may do something good for the yoyo so that may be wahy its like that on the Orbis I think.

dont worry, youll get to try it. i noticed the same thing about the bearing seat, if you ask me, it seems like a lot of yyfs do the same thing. we'll see what we can do about it. my favorite is in the hspin yoyos how the bearing just falls out.
Good luck with your yo-yo, but keep what we do and don't do out of it.

Good luck with your yo-yo, but keep what we do and don't do out of it. He wasnt bashing yyf simply sayin thats what he feels you do with many of you yoyos. I personally love the orbis, with a little bit of rim weight(and a tape off the bearing seat during blasting or whatever finish is used) and you will have on mighty fine yoyo.

Ben wasnt saying he was bashing on YYF. He was simply telling him to use whats he think is best and not compare to what others do.

Or possibly to prevent this from turning into another YYF-bashing.
