What do you do before you buy?

I'm just curious.

Mostly because I've been thinking about buying a new yoyo lately.  A few things have jumped out at me, even after reading a couple reviews, but I just didn't buy any of them.  Then, I got on today, saw the h-spin beysick at $60, and straight-away bought it.  I've never even held a h-spin, but heard of its quality through the grape vine.  I don't usually buy inpulsively, but this was diferent.  I hadn't even heard of this throw before I ordered, and now I noticed a couple reviews on it, but thought I'd rather be surprised, good or bad, and I'm pretty stoked about getting it.

I tend to do research, but not super-extensively.  I'm not a specs kind of guy, but reading/watching peoples thoughts about play and stuff is definitely something I do before every purchase.  However, how a yoyo looks can affect my judgment, and even if there are bad things to be said about a certain yoyo, if it looks good/there is some "x-factor" that makes me like it, I will feel a need to justify my buying/using it.

If you like the Beysick so much that you bought it after just looking at a picture of it, I can bet that you'll like it once it gets to you.

I look into them a bit, but once i know its comming in the Post, i Research it a load, Reviews Videos,Posts on setting it up.

I decide what I'm looking for before I look for it. I can generally predict a lot about a yoyo from pictures and specs, so at this point it's rare for me to be really surprised at the play of a yoyo. Since I'm not really into surprises anyway, that's a good thing.
