How do I do the two around the arm trick at 00:35-00:39? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0nUwnff250 (External Embedding Disabled) I tried to bend my hand out enough to get the yoyo in there but it doesn't seem to give enough space for the yoyo. Thanks!

... that's brilliant! I hadn't thought of that before . If more people gave awsome advice like that yoyoing would probably advance three or four time slower than it currently does. But thanks for the advice .

not exactly sure but if you can understand what she is doing then the next step is to just keep practicing

I don't care at all, because I still feel like you should probably try harder at it. That's how I learned my arm tricks. You may even learn some on your own by accident.

Yeah, the weird thing is whenever you see someone doing it it looks like they have a good 5-6 inches of string avalible, but I have about 2. and when I try it it looks a lot closer to my arm then it does when other people do it.

It's just a ridiculous stretch, and you need a flexible wrist. Personally, I just can't do that trick but a few buddies of mine can get a good 4-5 inches of space on it. Body tricks are just like that sometimes! Kobansora's advice is pretty solid this time. It's really exactly what it looks like, you just need to get everything in the right spots and stretch.

Such a happy guy...

Actually, for me what I found was much easier was to have the string go from you're hand over the tip of you're middle finger, which gives you a little more space. Does that make sense?

So having the string further along you finger, more towards the end of it, helps more? Thanks.

Hey... go play with yoyos!
|
One thing to keep in mind is where the string is going...
I know it sounds silly, but whenever I tried to learn stuff like this, I would always "figure it out" wrong, and then it would just give me tons of trouble until I realized I was in a completely wrong mount or hold.
With this trick, if you pause it at the 0:36 mark, you'll see a few things: 1. she has the string running from her finger, to her pinky finger, (going across her palm, not the back of her hand) 2. the string then runs from pinky finger to the outside of her elbow, and then to a trapeze. 3. when she dismounts the trapeze and brings the yoyo outside her arm to mount it, watch how her free-hand moves in close to the elbow.
if you can focus on these things, you should be able to figure out just how to hold your arm in a position that gives a bit more room without feeling like your twisting your body like a contortionist - because theoretically, you should just be moving your right arm (assuming you're right handed) out to the right with your fingers pointed back toward your shoulder and holding it there.
Hope this helps.
