BST out of control!!!!!!!!!!

I completely agree with this. I have no idea why the mods even bothered to fix it.

At least a lot of the retards who make crappy BST threads don't end up bumping them.

One of them was my friend's, lol. He's pretty smart in person, but lacks common sense. He made a BST thread, and the next day, he made a new thread with the exact same thing written. I explained to him at school recently about bumping the thread, and his excuse was "I've never made a thread in a forum." Pretty funny. He's still learning.

I'm all for standardizing titles and BST reform but I think multiple sections is unnecessary. Alll threads should read as followed:

WTB: xxxxxx, xxxxx, xxxx
FS: xxxx, xxxx, xxxxxxx
FT: xxxxxxx, xxxx, xxxxx
FS/FT: xxxx, xxxxxx, xxxx

with either the company or the specific yoyo but no more than like 30 characters in the title (eg: WTB: YYF, CLYW, and ILYY or FS/FT: duncan, yoyorecreation, YYF).

Also, I'm a firm believer in making the BST exclusive to members that have been registered for a certain period (like 1 month) and must have at least 20 posts to make a thread (or maybe even post?) in the BST. Any threads not conforming to the rules of titling should be deleted or locked and anyone bumping more than 1 time per day (EST time) should have that bump deleted as well. Habitual offenders should be warned and banned from the BST for a short time (1 week?). Also, any known scammers should be banned from axcessing the BST

It's just frustrating when I'm trying to sell a yoyo for charity, I give it a bump at 8am on the BST and end up on page 3 by the time I get home from work at 4pm.

I'm probably not allowed to mention this forum, but hey,  I've seen phrases like 'the other guy" and i "dropped one yoyo" too much  and they all did not get frowned upon, so i figure i'll just drop this silly act and just say it like it is called... After all it is intended to make things better over here too.

I would stick to such icons, and let everyone choose the title as specefic or vague as he/she wants. If you guys are really thinking of applying all the regulations i've read in this thread, well i actually don't know what then, but i hope you realize how dumb and limiting that would be, not to mention it wouldn't help even a tiny bit with the actual problem, if there even is one...

In the interest of all yoyo'ers, I believe YYN must do something to stem the confusion on it's BST threads.  The BST forum is beyond control.  There should be a separate category for each, Buy, Sell, & Trade.

If you're looking for a certain yoyo, and you want to buy it, post it in the "BUY" section.  Likewise for each circumstance.

No problem mentioning ExtremeSpin, it's not a competing store. 

I do like the icons over there.  I wonder if it's possible to then set up a filter where if you wanted you could only view posts marked "For Sale" (or any of the other ones.

We get minimal traffic over there I'm talking like bst thread stays on the main page for weeks, and the mods do a lot of post modifying over there for fix people not using the icons, I can't even imagine how it would be over here, half the people wouldn't use them and then mods would spend all their time modifying posts.  I also like the BST quota another forum has, 30 days until you can post in the bst..I think that is a good idea,

This is more on the anti-scamming front than the traffic/searching issues but how would people feel about a requirement that all items for sale/trade have a picture with the person's username and date handwritten on a piece of paper in the picture?  It's another idea from a different (non-yoyo) forum.

Yep. 30 days and 30 meaningful posts - I think that's a very good policy. Nathan, even if the picture weren't required, it's a smart suggestion that potential buyers and traders would be wise to request of members who have zero or very few trades, and/or who haven't been around very long. Unlike others who have posted in this thread, I haven't had much difficulty navigating the the BST - certainly not enough to necessitate a standardized posting procedure which, as Alex noted, would probably just cause moderators a lot of work. Scamming, on the other hand, is a problem I would like to see some more brainstorming about. In addition to the picture of a handwritten date on a piece of paper, it might be wise to suggest that everyone always ship with a tracking number, though I realize this isn't possible for all international shipping. But at least domestically, the USPS charges only $.70 for this service, which allows both parties to see where the package is and that there is a package that has been shipped.

You post to tell the OP that they’re got it a bit wrong and at the same time warn people that they are being missleaded with the description, and it gets deleted….

But I’ve had it with trading on YYN...
I’m not taking the chance anymore so I’m really not that bothered what you do with it
