  Big thanks to LANDON BALK! for doing this mod for me. He took the Peak's gap down .2mm (now the halves are 3.9 mm apart) and the Superstar down 1.2mm (3.9mm) The Peak is spot on, and the difference in the SuperStar is ridiculous. Landon had to cut that one so much he had to shorten the axle and the bearing posts just so it could screw together. Best of all, they are exactly as smooth as they were when I sent them to him! |

why do you want your gap smaller???
i like my dna which has a 5mm gap. i like that alot better than my peaks gap but the peak is still my best playing yoyo

i like my dna which has a 5mm gap. i like that alot better than my peaks gap but the peak is still my best playing yoyo
Preference. For instance, I can't stand monster gaps such as the one on the DNA. I like my my gaps small, or at least not huge. |

Preference. For instance, I can't stand monster gaps such as the one on the DNA. I like my my gaps small, or at least not huge. Yeah, my magic spot is 4-4.3mm give or take .1mm. One reason I stay away from YYF for the most part. |

I don't know what you're asking. There was no anodization related to this mod, Yoking just cut the seats. |

1/2 Specs are too small. They make the gap on the SS only about 3mm, on the Peak even smaller. Picky, but my yoyos play awesome now, so meh. Plus, the 1/2 SPEC I have is pretty crappy as far as its actual bearing properties are concerned. |

If you have a gap past 4.3 it starts to wear out the response too quickly and gets too unresponsive.
So the widest gapped yoyo I would have it 4.3.
