Welcome to the Museum of Yo-Yo History web board.
Like all museums, our museum focuses upon the relics and artifacts which
tell the story of the world's most treasured and enduring toy. But much
of the history of the yo-yo is a verbal history. Many company records,
personal stories, and histories of specific items have already been lost
to time.
This forum is a place where collectors can share their knowledge to give
us all more accurate and complete information. Here we can pool our
resources and knowledge, to fill in some of the gaps in the history of
the world's favorite toy. If you have questions about specific items,
yo-yos, memorabilia, or related skill toys, post them here. Include
pictures in your posts. If you have information on the items discussed
here, please respond. If you were a demonstrator in the golden days of
the yo-yo, post your favorite stories. If you worked for one of the
yo-yo companies in years gone by, please share your history. Perhaps
you are the last person that remembers stories about specific items, or
that company in general. Or even if you were one of those kids in
decades past that remembers the thrill of seeing the travelling yo-yo
man at your corner candy store, post your memories.
And participate in the museum, whether it posting your collectible
items, or collecting articles, interviews, histories to fill in the gaps
in the history of the Yo-Yo. The museum is not a static exhibit. It
can only be a growing and interactive reference with your help.
