Response pads
« on: September 07, 2009, 03:31:09 PM »

I lost the response pad in my 888 and its the only yo-yo i have, i am trying to order some more but YYN is all sold out. Is there a different pad i can order or something that will still fit?

Thanks in advance,
Ben

You could also run by your local Auto Parts store and pick up RTV Gasket Maker or Flowable silicone for $4-8 and never buy pads again.

My next question is now, which pads do you reccomend, or do you reccomend the silacone?

I'd go with the pads, they play pretty much the same as flow silicone,
and you can just stick another in if it pops out again without waiting for it to dry Smiley

I like the silicone. It is more even all the way around and you have more control over it. Plus it feels good to do it yourself. Just takes a little extra time.

I guess it depends on whether or not you're a DIY type of person, and whether or not you have other yo-yos to play with while you wait.

I'm a real rebel, I use pads on yoyos made for pads, and silicone on yoyos that are made for silicone.  tongue

For the ones that you can do either - well they scare me.

The only reason they came up with 888 pads is because the silicone kept popping out on people

Its worth getting some as a back up if you go down the silicone route,
There's nothing worse than going out for the day and your silicone popping out after the first hour
(it's happened to me)

Now i carry a few spare in my wallet so i can carry on throwing when it happens again  Afro
