highlights from YYN seem to be more stiff string - i love that. keeps slack wide and less of a tendency to twist up on ya. also bright as hell.

Is all gsrting type 10? When I nip the excess and take it apart some only have 8 strands while the SSE's seem to have 10 strands.

I love my highlights! They are stiff and super bright. I find that the stiffness keeps the string in shape when doing slacks, lacerations, and whips. For me at least, it also keeps its shape 5x better than slick6/8 when theres a build up of string tension.

Humidity is the amount of moisture in the air. When humidity is high, string likes to not slide so easily over your finger. Some people like to wear gloves when it is humid out. It is easier to get string burn (on your finger in high humidity). I think what is meant by performs well in high humidity is the string slides over your finger (non-yo-yo hand) better then other string.

Hope that helps.................Jim

i just got my YYN Highlights its super bright and seems to be woven tighter than the reg white poly string only thing i dont like is it being slightly shorter. Not a big deal most of the time thought just have to be more accurate with your string  Grin

I have only been using the cotton string (I think) and it bunches up when I try whips no matter how many times I try to adjust it. What is a good type of string for learning whips?

High Lights,  G-strings, 100% polys,  and Slick 6 50/50 are all good for whips IMO.  Smiley

You should get some of Yoboe's nylon string and add it to your list.
