Have you ever had some silicone get in your bearing seat? What if a company made some sort of cap that you fit over your bearing seat and then after you silicone the yoyo you could take off the cap and wash it. If some company made that plastic piece I would totally buy that. Anyone else?

step 1. Find a toothpick step 2. Use toothpick to scrape off excess silicone from bearing seat step 3. Throw toothpick away step 4. continue to bang your head on a wall.

you couldent get semi liquid / very stickey silicon out that easily with a toothpick i was sitting there for like an hour yesterday wishing that all that sili didnt get in my bearing seat....toothpicks and "reusable adhisive" could just make matter worse and is more work than if there were a cap to put over the bearing seat.
i bet if someone came out with it you would buy it...but until then im still stuck with q-tips...

every bearing seat is different, so it would be hard to make a one size fits all part.
Other than that, every modder with a lathe can easily make a piece like this.

Well this only works for people that doesn't have any broken bearings (like me). If you have a broken bearing you could just use that.
It is a really good idea though.

get one that fits over the different sized bearings. (large, small. etc.)

Well you have to let the silicone dry before you use it anyway, that is when the toothpick enters the seen

a great way to not get the silicone is your bearing seat is to do the following.
uncap the sillicone tightly put it into a plastic bag cut it in the corner of the bag where the tube is then squeeze in much like puting iceing on a cake. then wipe of ecess with bisness card, old credit card . then wipe off body with anything.
great way to silicone its fast and easy.no need for a cap like you suggested but it is a good idea.

When you are silicone use a q-tip to clean your bearing seat after you spread the goo in the gap(before it drys). Works for me every time.

I'm trying to perfect the inject directly into the groove and just enough, but red gasket maker makes that really hard. Practice practice practice! And for the failures, wait for the sili to dry then get the toothpic, not like you can play the yoyo 'til the sili sets anyways, so no rush to get that junk out your seat.
