General Yo 5-Star - great, but not my favorite throw

* It's perfectly balanced
* It's perfect for grinding
* Intelligent design providing long spins
* Superb response system
* Fine gap width

These points have absolutely nothing to do with preference.


When it comes to that:

* Dead sexy horns
* Beautiful shape
* Fine engravings
* Bad ---- looking rims

So, I haven't played many yoyos which score in that much points. So, I guess something about the hype must be true.
This is one of the best yoyos out there. No discussion here.

Book it.  That's all you need to know there....and summed up by someone who knows their yoyos.

I love this thread.  Such a good yoyo, but goes to show that sometimes yoyos can grow on you, while other times it really does just come down to personal preference.  Such a great thing that we have so much variety in the community.  What a solid yoyo though.  I just picked up a bgrade form Ernie that Grawrd so kindly dropped on the ground at DXL.     I love this thing.  Can't put it down.  I'm thinking I'm going to have to rip it from my hands for a few hours though, as a package with all kinds of ILYY goodness just arrived.

ok i have spent some real quality time with this new 5 star now... many strings later.

I have to say... best damn throw I have ever had the pleasure of konking myself in the head with.

It is superb. I guess I can't much say anything else about it... you just have to spend some time with one to know.

I still wish the new 5 Star had the weight of the original 5 Star but I'm getting more used to it.

I wasn't going to bump this thread again, but since its up here, this is one of my favorite 3 yos. Up there with P2 and Markmont. I find myself grabbing it more and more.
