I dont think there are any Fools Gold review around here so I decided to write one. Please note that your opinion may difffer because not all of the peaks have the same deffects and amount of vibe.
Well first off, It comes in a cool looking box with the peak logo on it. Helps you know that half your money isn't going towards the packaging and not the yoyo, and it keeps the yoyo well protected. The annodizing is great. The two colors mix together very well, it looks cool and classy. It has "FOOL'S GOLD" engraved on the rims, wich is probobly to keep people from selling them for the same cost as normal peaks.
On a throw, perfection. This is the second peak I have thrown, first peak I have owned and it plays amazing. Mine has no vibe whatsoever. Definately "floaty", but not hard to control. I think the one I got just has a few anno flaws that make it a fools gold. It has a good size but plays fast and moves quickly. It uses sillicone, wich ensures tight binds and long spin. Even though it doesnt have any special finish, it grinds very well. Arm grinds, palm grinds, whatever grind, it gets the job done.
I really can't gripe at all about this at all. It looks great, plays even better, and for 75 bucks? How much more can a person want? If CLYW restocks than I think you should go buy 1. If not, than some will probobly be floating around the BST for a good price. Congrats CLYW on making an awesome yoyo, I will probobly be buying another one sometime.

Not all yoyo'ers join this forum the first day they get a yoyo.. sometimes it takes them months or even years. He could have more yoyo knowledge than any of us for all we know, so saying something like that is kinda ignorant in itself. Don't make speculations like that. All he said was "good job!". For all we know it was a good job just for taking the time to make the review. Or maybe he has a fools gold peak and agrees with the review. |

what is the base price of the fg peak?
They were $75 new I believe. Used... they're about the same. I've seen FG Peaks sell for $10 less than normal Peaks. Ironic but true. |
