i have been using blue and gray sillicone lately and i don't notice a difference i just like these colors. but, i like the way gray plays with small bearing yoyo's, it seems less grippy to me so it's not snaggy,
i am going to try a marble effect with gray and blue tomarrow.

i use grey i find it less responsive and longer lasting than red but i think the difference in price is the brand

Any type of silicone is considered RTV. RTV stands for Room Tempature Vulcanization. There's just flowable and normal silicone. And ILYY uses the silicone pictured below. There was another thread about ILYY's silicone and they said it was this.  |

I've used the Permatex Red RTV silicone in IV's pic and Permatex Clear Flowable, I prefer the Clear Flowable. The red stuff wears down pretty close to as quick as the clear, I think the reason for people assuming it lasts longer is because it stays stuck in the groove until it wears out as apposed to eventually popping out like clear, or pads.
I change both long before they pop out though, 2 months at the most, at which point either clear or red is too slippy for me. Then it comes to removal(that and the much easier application is the only difference between the two I can notice) the clear pulls out like a pad, all in one go, and the red is like getting bubble gum out of your hair. Not fun.
Also I've been wanting to try the Motorsil D, but they don't sell it in america. Maybe if I have the funds sitting around I'll have it shipped.
