General Yo 5-Star 2nd run!!! (1st impression)

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the first run... and until today I have not put it down because it is just poetic how it plays.   Well today I opened a box that revealed perfection in a two-toned green bead blasted monster of a yo that is as if my first run 5-Star had died and come back as a God!

I don't see myself as qualified enough to give a reputable review, so this is just my first impression.  This thing is AWESOME!!!  The speed, the stability, the entire throw is whipped cream smooth and the bead blast so lovely to my fingers and arms as this beast grinds along like a baby powder breeze...

I will probably be having a pretty big post on BST now that I can sell off all the rest of my throws.  I wont need anything else anymore!  This is the ONE!

I will leave a couple pictures then I am off to Yo-Heaven with my new 5-Star!!




Oh yeah, if you listen to my advise... I would try your best to get one new, I can't see anyone letting go of one of these once they get to throw it once!

A good friend sent me his 2nd Run 5Star proto and I can tell you this.. I will agree that thing is AWESOME..

It made me extremely sad to have to send it back.. I will be waiting for these.

Haha I got a proto with ano faliures at BAC and it plays beastly smooth. If I let it sleep sometimes I forget it's on the other end of the string.

I am not sure how many will be in this release, but I think there are going to be alot of p2's when they come out...  It would really suck to not have one of these, trust me

As stated...the new 5 Star is shipping with One Drop sili pads...but will take flowable silicone quite well.  Plays great either way...and kudos to Ernie for going with the One Drop pads as they are VERY good.

Dang! I was hoping to write the first review, but you said it better than I could! Ernie very kindly made sure I got the new 5-STAR before my birthday and my trip. I thought I wouldn't have computer access on my trip, but it turns out I have limited access for a few days.

Anyway...I completely agree. I thought my first run 5-STAR couldn't be beat....it is perfect! But Ernie's subtle changes in weight and dimensions somehow made the new run play even better!

The feel, the long spin, the balance, stability, the incredible smoothness! Like you say, Skidot, I don't need any other yoy-yos. I haven't touched my Superstar, my G5, my 4xl, my 888, my Skyline, etc. since I got the new 5-STAR. The size is perfect...neither undersized nor too big. It is just right.

It is a fabulous player and it is beautiful in a new way. The subtle two-tone green beadblast makes it look different from any other yo-yo and it is jewel-like in its beauty and laypeople comment on its beauty when they see it.

Another thing that is important to me (although it may be less important to you) is that the new 5-STAR looks the way laypeople expect a yo-yo to look. I perform sometimes for the public, and it important that they don't say."Oh, you have a special yo-yo....that is the reason you can do those tricks". With my 4XLwith Jimmy Hats, one person even thought it had a motor! With the green 5-STAR, I have performed several times, and no one seemed to think it was anything but an ordinary yo-yo with a skillful player!

But, this yo-yo makes play so much easier in every way!
