Texas Meets & Contests
« Reply #20 on: April 01, 2010, 09:04:55 AM »

Anyone in the Spring Texas area? Cause I've been throwing but don't get out much to meet new people and such. Just wanted to know if there are any throwers in spring cause I'm kind of getting a couple of kids at my school into it. Afro

Ok I'll remember that. Can't drive yet cause haven't got my permit yet, but I'll remember your offer, I wouldn't mind learning some tips and tricks from a person who knows what they are actually doing.

This actually seems pretty low given that Texas is about 8% of the entire US population. It must have a lower yoyoer rate.

Also the lack of any regular meetings tend to draw down the enthusiasm of the throwers in the area. I live a stones throw from Texas in Altus, OK, and travel 3 hours to see my family in the DFW area. I normally try to schedule something then, but it would be a lot easier if there was a regular place in time set up.

I have 7 more years until I retire from the Air Force, and possibly move back down there. It sure would be nice for someone to step up in the mean time and create a couple of clubs to build up some energy down there.

I say a couple of clubs, because there is about 4 hours seperating the DFW and Austin/Houston area that most people seem to be from. North Texas yoyo Club, and South Texas Yoyo Club GogogogoGGooogOO. And those in El Paso......um is there anything in New Mexico?

I said  a while ago I would try to set up a club and have failed in doing so Undecided
I will make a more inspired effort when I return from Europe sorry DFW throwers.
