Its great thing to learn if you want to alleviate boredom in school, and amaze your peers. I got three kids into pen spinning at my school, it only takes the Thumbaround to amaze someone. |

I used to penspin, but then it got boring...
Seriously, it is cool, but 20$ for a PEN? (The official brand pens)
And I don't like to waste like 20 gels every week.
It is fun, but there's less possibilities for tricks since you only use one hand.
You cant do grinds, whips, or anything...Which is pretty sad.
And yes, it is very hard.
I can do, Cam something combo, fingerpass, sonic, twisted sonic, reverse sonic, sonic 1.5 (!?), thumbspin 1.5.
^ THE COMBO IS IMPOSSIBLE!^

phhhhhh, 10 bucks for a pen and 100 for a yo-yo, and 475 for a butterfly knife, I hate my hobbies. |

actually i made a pretty good pencil mod that started me spinning. it only costs 2-3 dollars and i can make like 5
its just the pencil wrapped in duck tape with some more on the edges for weight
like i said tape is like 2 bucks for a huge role and i got a 12 pack of pencils for $1
i can now do thumbaround and sonic

ya i modded some pens. my best mod is of two pens that i made into a double-sided pen whick has perfect weight distribution. but i havent been doing it lately because its really hard

I just used a pack of $2.00 bic round stic pens and moddified em to work that's cheaper than any yoyo I have... but it is very hard I only started after I seen this post... it's pretty fun
