Oxidized new bearings...
« on: December 21, 2005, 02:51:29 PM »

Thanks to YYN and pat! I received my yoyos yesterday. It was the fastest yoyo delivery I ever experienced. Shocked

But so bad the bearing of my phi and my pyro are a little darkish. Especially the phi's one.
They are more oxidized than the oldest and most oxidized bearing I own.
And even my lubed bearings outspin the 2 new bearings. Huh

I keep thinking if I break them in, it will be nicer. But I wanted to have some advice.
Does anyone have had the same experience? Should I contact kyo and hspin or wait and see?

the phi bearing just looks like that mate don't worry about it.  The metal on the pyro bearing is slightly darker than say a yyj bearing i know i have seen enough of them hehe (Private joke for myself!!).  Please pm or msn me please about the pyro bearing and I will do what I can to help with that

And you need a good fwe hours play with the phi bearing to get it playing nearly well enough but i still prefer merc bearings or just normal cleaned ones

Thanks couzo for the fast reply! Only 2min after I asked my question Shocked Loving more and more the yoyonation community ^^

I've played a little with my pyro and the yoyo (or the bearing) is behaving more like how it's supposed to. Cheesy

In fact I didn't got the yoyos out of the package yesterday so my first throw was just before I posted my message. I know, it sounds crazy. How could I not open the package the second after I received it?
I'm doing a yoyo detoxication. Lately I was told I play yoyo and I talk about yoyos too much. That's why I wanted to reduce my yoyo time but with those two I think I'll delay my detoxication Lips Sealed

Pat's post brings up a point that I was going to make earlier.  yoyoing = geeky, not nerdy.  Any true geek appreciates the difference.   Wink

Actually I think it falls under the "Dork" catagory.. But my personal phylosophy is that everyones a dork.. there are those that know it, and those that don't... those that know it are generally more self-confident.

And that's why I love to yoyo.. it helps remind me that I'm a HUGE dork.
