Good weather for yoing?
« on: December 21, 2008, 01:24:19 AM »

So me and the rest of the 1Drop and pdx crew here in Portland are getting pounded here by mother nature. Now I don't know about the rest of you but I love snow and makes for a perfect excuse to stay inside and throw. How is everyone else fairing natures wrath?

Hasn't snowed much, but it's beginning to.

Other than that, it's been pretty damn cold. I love going outside and throwing in the fall though, 50s-60s is perfect.

It's been pretty cold here in the Denver area, but we haven't had much snow yet this year.  I'm really hoping we will get some snow before Christmas...

If anyone can tell me if anything happened that I should know about since then, please pm me.

Holy crap.  I live in the Denver area too (Westminster)!
But it has been bone-crushingly cold here.  Seriously.

We got like 25-30 inches on the ground right now. Drifts are like 5 feet at each persons driveway.

Around 0 degrees, far less with windchill.

I've been pretty snowbound here in Seattle since Thursday. The weather is what I'd consider fine, but there are no snowplows and Seattle drivers, on the whole, have no idea whatsoever how to drive in winter weather.

I've taken the opportunity to try a few new offstring tricks with my new Hayabusa SL (early xmas gift --- liking it a lot) and try out chopsticks stuff with my M1.

I'm getting hammered here in Western Mass, its been snowing pretty solidly since Friday afternoon and its snowing harder than ever right now Smiley

Other than clearing my car off every time I go out its hasn't really made much of a difference for me. I enjoy driving in the snow, especially when its really bad and there are no other drivers around Cheesy

How bad is it up in Western Mass? My boss is up there in his vacation home and insisted on driving. i told him he was goign to get snowed in and he was stubborn about it and drove anyway. We made a little bet, if he is back in the office on Monday, I buy luinch, if not then he buys lunch on Tuesday. He drives a tiny two seater sports car BTW (some kind of Lexus sports car I cant remember the model.)

This is great weather for yoying BTW, anyhting that doesnt require leaving the house. I skipped my run today and yesterday and did nothing but yoyo and watch sports. Cowboys suck!

Yea, have you all noticed how the term global warming has disappeared from the news and politics almost entirely... Now we have "climate change". I guess all of those scientists knew what they were talking about after all.  Grin
