I have had my velocity for about two weeks, maybe alittle more, and i had heard some pretty good things about it. however, mine only sleeps about 35 seconds max, thats with the dorothy, and dies on the string even faster. any medium long string trick is just a struggle to get through because it kills it. and even then its spinning too slow to pick up a bind. dont know why everbody elses seems to be so much better.

I don't know anybody that ever does tricks more that 45 seconds long (that's like almost 1/3 of a 2 minute freestyle) but you should be able to get it sleep for upwards of 3 minutes.

ive never been able to make it last 45 seconds for a trick, and the longest i've ever counted its sleep is like, 60 seconds. im not saying i have a perfect through, but there is no way mine would be able to sleep three minutes. do you think i should clean the bearing?

If this is your first real bearing yoyo, just practice. Everyone's throw needs a LOT of work in the beginning. Trust me, if you think you're throwing it hard enough and straight enough and you haven't broken the string--- keep working.
I'd only be concerned about the bearing if you are able to get much longer sleep times out of other standard steel bearings or the dorothy in your velocity starts making screeching noises.
