ok so I was one of the ones lucky enough to pick up the spec bearing and k-pad combo for 5 bucks during the yyf anniversary sale..

first impression when opening the package... Looks like any other bearing but with a nifty yyf logo on it....

Then I stuck it on the end of a pen and gave it a flick....HOLY HELL!!! it spins and I mean SPINS... plus its REALLY quiet and its just so much smoother feeling.....

It spins longer then my nice cleaned lubed and broken in YYJ bearings.. and its just so smooth feeling....

I havent taken the sheilds off because I am afraid to let out whatever magic they put into this thing Smiley

nuff said go buy one for all your yo's......

I personally haven't really been able to see difference between the 2 bearings myself. At first it was a lot quieter than the dorothy, then it made the same noise that the dorothy makes on occasion. But, just like the dorothy it plays very well right out of the box(well bag). Smooth, even with the noise. I think what they tried to improve with this bearing is the whole breaking when the yoyo hits the ground, at least from what I read that's a problem dorothies used to have. I must say, good bearings still even though I can't tell the difference. Maybe I'll try the two bearings in a spin off. Don't see the point in that really, doesn't matter which spins longer in the first place, because they both spin long enough for me. Both great bearings. I saw nothing wrong with the dorothy besides the occasional noise, which still happens to me with the SPEC.
