Hey all, I stated that I would get this going once I saw a Toys for Tots bin and today, in front of Toys r Us, there it was. The toys for tots bin, Empty.

There are over 3000 active yo-yoers on the four major web boards. This is a dare if you will. I dare you to donate a Yo-Yo this year to Toys for Tots on behalf of the Yo-Yo Community. Think about it. If every yo-yoer donated one Proyo or Projam or SpinWizard or Fast 201, it could change the lives of thousands of kids.
Last year Dan sold his entire collection, and took cash donations to purchase Projams and distribute 50 yo-yo’s to his local community needy kids. This year, with the help of the Yo-Yo Community, we can ramp that up and easily get 5000 yo-yo’s into the hands of needy kids. They best part is that we will do it on the backs of an exiting infrastructure, Toys for Tots.
Toys for Tots already has drop bins in place and the personnel to divide, sort, and distribute the Yo-Yo’s across the nation. Last year, Toys for Tots distributed 16.6 million new toys to over 7.5 million needy youngsters throughout the nation. This was one of the most successful campaigns in the 60 year history of Toys for Tots. This year, with the help of all of you, we can add our target goal of 5000 yo-yo’s to the Toys for Tots bins, and give kids across the nation the greatest toy of all time.
1: We need Flyers. Design a Flyer and submit it. Flyers will be hosted on the yoyodrive.com website for yo-yoers to download and distribute. Flyers can be sent to
dryoyo@toastydoc.com for submission, and can be downloaded at yoyodrive.com.
2: We need demonstrators. This winter season, spend an hour outside of a Toys for Tots drop box yo-yoing and get the word out.
3: We need pledges. Pledge the Forums how many you plan to donate. This is not contractual, but will help encourage others to match it.
4: We need results. Take pictures of your donations and you donating. Post the pictures in load them to the
yoyodrive flickr account. Make sure to tell us how many are in the picture so we can get a count.

Remember, Toys donated to Toys for Tots must be in the original SEALED packaging. No loose or used toys please.
So, Lets get to it. Cheap yo-yo’s and needy kids. Totally win win. Our goal is 5000 yo-yo’s donated.
