Good tries though. A little help, Steven Brown is not a National Yo-Yo Grand Master and Tommy Smothers does not play banjo...at least not that we know of..

I'd offer more clues, but sheesh, it's not like there are a lot of National Yo-Yo Grandmasters.  As for bobb's question - I'll leave it up to him to leave more clues or not.  I thought that one was pretty easy though.

It looks like the yoyonation banjo lovers are not a very adventurous crowd.

I suspect guesses count.  You have been awarded bragging rights on guessing the right answer.   coolsmiley

Bela... yeah, he's alright.  Afro

Now, if you can also answer the second question, we will up the prize from bragging rights to downright boasting privileges.

2nd question: Roy Acuff  Afro

-Bemis

Nice try, but no. Roy Acuff was known to play with yo-yos at the Opry but he was a best known as a singer and fiddler.

Bela... yeah, he's alright.  Afro

i'm more partial to his bass player (sweet bias), but fleck has definitely done some uncanny things with the instrument.
tony trischka is no slouch either, per se.
