the shape is supposedly smaller yet keeps the wide gap... feels nicer in the hand supposedly. oh and the SlipMatte coat is a lot more "grindable" supposedly? and yeah i guess it's the little things too |

The shape is a smaller, fatter, more compact shape. It's more ring grindable, the axle is greatly improved, no more tuning problems to fix that little vibration. And it has flush recesses for the response pads.
And yes. The finish is even smoother
