You mean the string goes inbetween the bearing and the side of the yoyo?   Or, do you mean that it doesn't bind well?  If it's the latter, than I'd imagine bazpads or thick dif pads would help the problem.

Yeah difs can become slick.... like he said, baz-pads, silicone stickers, all those are pretty good.

I've also cut the inner diameter of some duncan stickers once and they made my pyro really a beast, but they wear out fast...

Try thick diffs...that fixed mine.  I think I put in one thick diff on one side and one regular on the other.
