Welcome to the "Other Skill Toys" Section! This section of YoYo Nation is a place to talk about all other skill toys that aren't yo-yos. We all love yo-yos, but a lot of us play with many different skil toys. Here is a place to talk about diabolos, juggling, spin tops, poi, kendama, devil sticks, astro jacks, paddle ball, hackey sack, gitter rings, pen spinning, plate spinning?, etc. ... well you get the idea! Use this section to talk about equipment, events, web sites, videos, mods, or anything else that has to do with other skill toys.... Rememebr, anything can be a skill toy if you use it correctly Peace! STU

Welcome one and all!!!
Like Stu said so clearly, this section is for "expressin' da lurv" of all things skill-related that are not yos.
Got a question? Have a new piece of equipment and want to share some pics or info? Let us all know about it!!!
Paul Wallace aka gsimian aka pdub aka...um...that's about it.

I have to say club juggling is amazing. I feel juggling in general is overlooked by the public. Those who dont juggle dont understand how difficult it is. So far I can do 5 balls. The common misconseption is to associate juggling with clowns or the circus when really its a sport. David W, they sell fireballs that can be used W/O gloves on www.jugglingstore.com for $100 for set of 3. I use this site to get all my stuff(i made my cigar boxes though).

These were too cool for me to pass up this morning but I could use a little help identifying them. They seem too small for diabolo.. As you can see I measured them and they are one project 2 and campfire high.
I have been searching the internet for info, but am coming up dry. They both seem to have the same guts because they can be unscrewed and swapped with each other. So it makes me believe they are both from milton bradley as the white one clearly says on it. I do believe the white is made of wood also, just seems to be a great coat of paint on it. If any of you could help me with an informative link or just share some knowledge about these I would appreciate it. I want to list them in the B/S/T section but need to know what I have so I can be fair with them.
Dave's museum has a very similar one from Parker Brothers that is pretty cool.

I am not 100% on this, but... I think these are Milton Bradly's answer to the popular early 20th century European (French) diabolo, and they were made in the early 1900's. I have no idea of their value. I would post your question and pics on the forum of http://diabolo.ca/ which is one of the biggest diabolo forums around. Please let us know what you find out. Good luck. -Stu

hey, thanks for the link. I did find out that Milton Bradley had 2 copyrights one in 1907 and another in 1937. However that is all for now. I will let you know if I find out anything else of interest.
