And so, the winning entry:

I call it "The Throw." Not very original, but I think a simple name befits a simple image.
I just picked up this hobby of clay modeling and clay animation. I was going to do some claymation too, but I got distracted. I just got a Gung-Fu, which just happens to be one of the best yoyos I have ever thrown!
Another shot

There we go!
Congratulations, cobrajs!
Why was this entry the best? Well, it's most certainly the most original, no one else even attempted to fabricate anything physical. Creative, too, making a hand yo-yoing, having a wire to support the "string," ect. Not to mention that is was photographed in an artistic way, though I don't pretend to know anything about photos. The effort to make a great photo was made (and I think it succeeded), that is clear, and that's all that matter. I assume its goal was look like a nice artistic sculpture, and I say that it was successful. It didn't appear to be that it was very difficult to make, and I bet it was so much fun it didn't seem like work at all, but that does not matter. I very much enjoyed this entry, and I thank cobrajs for it.
Now, I suppose I owe you guys some runners up and explanations. First off, any edited entry is disqualified, sorry.
These are entries that were nice, but just didn't do it.
DrYoYo's titled pictures - I laughed at these, but it was more of a sitcom sort of laugh. Barack's was actually really good. This did not win because I didn't find them all that original or difficult to make.
allanpendragon's picture with long caption - This seemed like something I would enter, if I was going to do a photo. It was trying to be funny, and it sort of was. I don't understand with the Oust was there. Also, unless his sig is lying, he doesn't have a full metal, and that's the sort of person I wanted to give this stuff to. I just enjoyed cobrajs' more.
DravenCarey's captioned game shots - This apparently took a lot of work, and I like that, because I enjoy the idea of someone spending time on contest I posted. I don't know how hard is it to move the characters into positions like that, I'm just taking his word. The yo-yo is nicely scaled (is it just gone in 2?). The goal was to be funny, though, and I just didn't dig it. But, with the exception of 7, all of the tricks look very nice and natural with the hands.
Nuggles' pictures - The only reason these didn't win was I simply enjoyed the sculpture more. I wish I knew something about art so that I could comment on the techniques. I have no idea how to tell how long that took. I really wish that dog had a better expression. It's like, okay, he's going to Spain. Is happy, like he's going back to his wife and kids, or to meet his father for the first time? Is he sad, because he's returning with bad news, or because he knows there'll be an attempt on his life at rally he's giving there? Is he scared, because maybe those zombies from the end of 28 Weeks Later might have crossed the border?
DrYoYo's video - This is actually disqualified because it was all supposed to be in one post, but I guess that wasn't clear. I just want to point out that was terrified one of the three objects flying around wildly would hit that little girl.
Couple other things, sorry about being such a stickler on editing. But I didn't want it to be like, someone really quickly posts an crudely thrown-together entry, took 'um five minutes. Someone else tries hard to get it right the first time. I like the idea of person really thinking about something before posting it. Another senario, say someone makes a quick video of them, I dunno, lighting a fart. Then they see my positive reaction to the sculpture, and go out and make something similar, basically just stealing cobrajs' idea. This is also the reason that I wanted all entries in one post. (Oh, and if, in my example, someone made their one entry after cobrajs and it was also a yo-yoing sculpture out of clay, unless it was of astounding quality, I would have gone with the first post.)
Also, on page 4, there's some confusion. Corbin posted a video of him doing aerials into a nice hat (you can see it quoted there). SouthPaw then decided to enter in order to beat Corbin, and posted a series of pictures of yo-yos and string. He made a spelling error in one of the pictures, that Corbin pointed out, prompting SouthPaw to quickly edit his post, disqualifying him. I like to think that Corbin did that on purpose, because that's cool and diabolic, but we'll never know. The post you see me making was my Corbin v. SouthPaw matchup (the one above is just me putting captions to South Paws photos in the order they were in in his post), because it was a boring night, and since SouthPaw really only seemed to want to go against Corbin, and neither had dethroned cobrajs. Then some stuff I won't even pretend to understand happened between Corbin and SouthPaw, and they removed their posts.
I suppose that's it. I had a really good time with his, I hope some other people did too. If you have any questions or comments on how I ran this contest, or why a different entry should have won, post them. I'm not sure if I'll make it to the post office tomorrow, and then I won't be able to ship until Monday, but that gives someone else time to make their case. Thanks for reading.
