This took me awhile to learn too... What helped me is: Right before your magic drop...move your non-throwhand (the hand opposite of where you're going to drop) FORWARD just a little bit. This helps it "drop" as well as helps it land on the right string (the string closest to you). I hope that helps...this is one of those tricks you just have to keep on practicing.

You have to get the timing right...
I keep my throw hand thumb and index finger kind of close (maybe an inch apart) then when you throw your yo around your throw hand move your thumb and index finger apart...gotta do it quick and time it right. Just practice that and the shockwave then kamikaze will flow.
PS: I could only do the beginning of kamikaze then instead of doing the magic drop i would go in and do the first half of candyrain (it's easier because you raise your throw hand vertically)...but i practiced and practiced shockwave and finally i can do all of kamikaze.
Also i think it depends on the yoyo...i find it easier to do it with a spinfaktor then a poison...but once you learn it good...the yoyo doesn't matter.
