Topic: Delrin grinding? (Milk, Milk 2%, Cream?, Gung-fu Gen 2/3) (Read 2308 times)

I play mostly 5A and I would love to get a Delrin that is "perfect" in every way. I have been waiting for the Cream like forever because I wanted another hubstack yo-yo, however that might be a lot more waiting. Yesterday I found out that Gung-fu Gen 3 will have bead blasted surface. Does bead blasting really improve the surface a lot compared to regular Delrin surface (describe the difference)? For those that owns both Milk 2% and Gung-fu gen 2, what do you guys feel about each yo-yo? Which one has better surface? Which one has a easy to use IRG lip (I still can't do IRG  )? I have only experience a couple of yo-yo for grinding. Out of the Trainwreck, Satined Bolt, and Aoda Rainbow (fake 888), I think Aoda grinded the best. I have 0 experience with bead blasted yo-yo. I would imagine a beadblasted surface would be much better for grinding than a raw plastic surface; but then again, I would NOT base my decision to purchase a yoyo just because of how well it could grind or whether or not it has hubstacks.

I just got my Gen 3 this morning, I will be writing a full review later. the bb surface is mega sweet and this baby grinds fantastic, in fact before I saw this post, I was out in my yard, watching my hot lit 21 year old neighbor plant flowers in her bikini and thumb grinding my new gung Fu. it was a very zen moment...

My 2% grinds pretty well. The Silk, when I had one, didn't. That thing SUCKED.
So it's hit or miss with the delrin yo-yos. The 2% definitely does the job though.

i was surprised about hearing about the bead blasted surface on the gung-fu. has there ever been any other bead blasted delrin yo-yo before? has anyone done it themself? how did it hold up? i satined a fhz once and in a few weeks time the satin had almost completely warn away just from regular use. that's not delrin though. have you tested these james?

The only gung I have been throwing lately is of the Type 3 variety. But It's actually an old Gen 2 that I bead blasted a long time ago.. Still same surface and I loves it  |

How does it play? Does it work with Z / T stack? Do you have any inside info when it'll be out?
