Yo-Yo Terms
Satin Finish - A finish that makes grinding easier. Done by sanding the yoyo, to creat less friction between the hand and the yoyo
Bead Blast Finish - A finish that makes grindng easier. More effective than satining, done by blasting beads on a yoyo.
Shmoove Rings - Creats less friction between the wall of the yoyo and the string. Done by cutting rings inside the wall
Cleaning the Bearing - Done to take gunk out of the bearing, and make the bearing less responsive. Done by dunking in mineral spirits and cleaning.
Grinding - When you put the yoyo in contact with yourself. Ex. Finger grind - balance the yoyo on your finger
Silicone Recess - A recess in which you can put silicone into it
Silicone - A commenly used responce system. Requirs a deep enoguh recess
Pad Recess - A recess in which the pad area of the yoyo is recessed, so the pad does not stick out as much.
